Tanzania
Alfred Health Emergency has been contributing to the Nurse Mentorship Program (NMP) at Muhimbili National Hospital in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania since September 2016.
This successful collaboration has seen an Alfred Emergency nurse working in the Emergency Medicine Department with the nursing staff, to support and empower the local team who have pioneered Emergency Nursing in Tanzania.
Tanzania
Alfred Health is honoured to partner with the Emergency Medicine Association of Tanzania to pioneer and promote the comprehensive distribution of emergency health care in Tanzania.
Global Programs
After seven years of operation, the Emergency Medicine Department now has a solid leadership team and competent and skilled nurses who continue to develop and provide specialised emergency nursing. Along with bedside teaching, the NMP involves Alfred staff running formal teaching, and supporting local staff to develop teaching skills and programs. Activities include delivering workshops and presentations at conferences, supporting local research projects, protocol and policy development, along with show-casing the achievements nurses have made to the hospital, the country and the African continent.
