Enhancing Research Skills and Clinical Impact
Sabbatical Opportunity
The Emergency Research Unit (ERU) at Monash University’s School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine (SPHPM) is pleased to invite expressions of interest from qualified medical professionals who wish to undertake research, improve their research skills and collaborate on research projects as part of a sabbatical program.
This program will allow medical professionals the opportunity to:

Engage in specialised research that contributes to advancements in emergency medicine, health care delivery, and/or patient outcomes in the hospital setting

Pursue professional development in a specific area of interest

Acquire new skills and knowledge that can provide value to the candidates' primary workplace and host organisation
Duration: Maximum 6 months
Location: Successful candidates will be required to work from the ERU office located at 553 St Kilda Road, Melbourne VIC 3004. Working-from-home arrangements can also be made if feasible with the program of work being completed.

An Expression of Interest, detailing objectives for the sabbatical

Current CV highlighting relevant experience and achievements
Applicants can expect to receive:

Active supervision from highly experienced emergency medicine researchers, who will provide guidance and support throughout the sabbatical

Support for the use of biostatistical, database, and other research platforms

The design (in consultation with supervisor/s) and execution of a research project with clinical significance
-
Support to publish research findings in an academic journal, and present at national or international conferences

Engagement in research training activities with the host organisation
-
Networking and collaboration with the host organisation’s research team
